Acclaimed at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival, Bao Nguyen's documentary "Be Water" takes an intimate, very personal look at the life and instincts that motivated martial arts pioneer and pop culture icon Bruce Lee. The film starts with a chronicle of Lee's early years as the son of a Chinese opera star born while his father was on tour in San Francisco. Subsequently raised in Hong Kong, Lee was sent to live in America at age 18, when he began teaching kung fu in Seattle.
