With American voting rights becoming more and more of a key issue in the upcoming 2020 presidential election, "The Vote" – a new two-part, four-hour documentary concluding Tuesday – is a timely look back at the epic fight American women waged to secure their right to vote. Focusing mainly on the final decade of that struggle, the film charts this determined march to the ballot box, despite multiple social, political and cultural obstacles. Kate Burton narrates, with Audra McDonald, Mae Whitman, Laura Linney and Patricia Clarkson also lending their voices.
