In the fall of 2009, a beloved schoolteacher is found murdered in her Neptune, N.J., apartment, in the new episode "A Lesson in Homicide." In short order, her estranged husband, from whom she is in the process of a divorce, falls under suspicion, but detectives are unable to find firm evidence that would lead them to an arrest. Quite a while after the case goes cold, however, a detective is persuaded to help the ex-husband clear his name by tracking down the victim's real killers. Another new episode immediately follows.
