The two-part, three-hour documentary "The Virus That Shook the World" which concludes Tuesday, traces the impact of COVID-19 across the globe, from the earliest days of the lockdowns in Wuhan, China, the horror show of massively overrun hospitals in Italy to the virus's impact in other parts of the world. As casualties continued to mount, mass funerals were held for the dead, as the living reacted in some places with sharply polarized political protests. The program also examines how the pandemic exacerbated existing inequities between the haves and the have-nots.
