Inspired by a non-fiction book by Lawrence Otis Graham, this new drama takes place in the affluent Oak Bluffs section of Martha's Vineyard, where members of the rich and powerful Black elite have come to play for more than 50 years. The series revolves around strong-willed single mother Angela Vaughn (Yaya DaCosta, "Chicago Med") as she arrives to reclaim her family name and launch a natural hair care line. Morris Chestnut, Joe Morton ("Scandal"), Lance Gross ("Hawaii Five-0") and newcomer Alana Bright also star. Lee Daniels ("Empire") is an executive producer.
