Viewers who associate "Perry Mason" with the 1957-66 TV series of that title starring Raymond Burr should prepare themselves for a jolt with this new limited series. Set in 1931 Los Angeles, this reboot stars Matthew Rhys as a younger Mason, who makes his living as an unconventional detective even as he shows signs of the legal eagle he eventually will become. Juliet Rylance ("The Knick") and Chris Chalk ("Gotham") co-star as Della Street and Paul Drake; John Lithgow, Tatiana Maslany and Robert Patrick also are featured.
